In distribution, technology problems show up as time. A scanner that drops in an aisle, a gate queue that spills onto the road, a stock discrepancy with no usable footage, a dock door that nobody controls.

MTT (My Telecom Technology) designs for the warehouse as it operates: racking loaded, forklifts moving, doors open, and a yard that is a different RF and lighting environment from the building it serves.

The systems are layered to match how a distribution site actually runs: structured cabling and a fibre backbone feed the warehouse, gatehouse and yard buildings; wireless access points are positioned and validated with racking loaded so scanners and voice-pick devices roam cleanly between aisles; gate ANPR and barriers hand off vehicle records to the same access-control platform used on doors and cages; and cameras at dock faces, pick faces and weighbridges feed a control room or a manager's screen alongside the access and gate events, so a discrepancy can be checked from one place instead of three.

    Site survey

    An engineer attends site, records existing infrastructure, distances, containment, power and constraints, and agrees the operational objective with the people who will use the system.

    Design

    Layouts, schematics, equipment schedules and a bill of quantities are produced so the scope and the assumptions behind it are visible before anything is ordered.

  3. Step 03
    Supply

    Equipment is procured against the approved design, with lead times and any substitution agreed in writing rather than decided on site.

  4. Step 04
    Installation

    MTT field teams install to the approved drawings, with structured containment, labelled cabling and coordination around live operations and permit requirements.

  5. Step 05
    Testing & commissioning

    Cabling is tested, systems are configured and functional tests are witnessed and recorded so the delivered performance is documented, not assumed.

  6. Step 06
    Documentation

    As-built drawings, schedules, test results, configuration records and asset lists are handed over as the basis for future changes and maintenance.

    Training

    Operators and site technicians are trained on day-to-day use, routine checks and the correct escalation route.

    Maintenance

    Preventive and corrective cover under an annual maintenance contract keeps the system supported, with an agreed scope and spares position.

Survey with the racking in place

Wireless and camera design is validated in the loaded building. A survey of an empty shell produces a coverage plan that will not hold.

Access and working at height

High-bay mounting positions, access equipment and safe systems of work are planned before installation, not improvised on the day.

Deliverables at handover

As-built cabling and wireless heat maps, camera and coverage schedules, gate and access-control configuration records, cabling and fibre test results, and an asset register — so a second site can be brought up to the same standard without repeating the survey work.

Lifecycle and AMC coverage

Maintenance visits are scheduled outside peak dispatch windows and cover access point health and roaming performance, camera and storage health, gate and barrier mechanicals, and battery checks on any UPS-protected equipment, with a defined response time for faults that stop dispatch.

Phased cutover

Where a live site cannot stop, the design is delivered in phases with parallel running so dispatch is never dependent on a single switchover.
